| Hello, my name is Tamu Rios. I am active duty airfoce and am stationed Spangdahlem AB. I am 26 years old and have been in the airforce for three years. I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsyvania but was raised in Orange County, California where I graduated from Trabuco Hills High School. My husband Alberto is from Brandon, Florida. I am the Assistant LAN Admistrator at the 52 Medical Group Hospital , right now I am working towards my degree in Information Systems Management. I manage the network servers, do software configurations, hardware repairs, build computers and design the Medical Group Web Page. I attended college prior to joining the airforce, but majored in nursing! Go figure. I am really excited about the opportunity to take distance education, I think it is an excellent milestone, especially for those of us that have to work full time and do not have the opportunity to attend school full time. I am also taking a History class at night, and taking distance education during the day at work enables me to spend more time with my husband Alberto and one year daughter Mia Angelina. My hobbies include any thing with computers, volunteer work as a tutor for middle school kids and children with mental disabilities. I also collect angels. I have serious angel fetish my husband says I am obsessed . I collect antiques. I love antique furniture and nick nacks. My aspirations in the future are to get a bachelors in IFSM with a minor in Business Administration. I am going to open my own Internet Café and freelance as a computer consultant / WebMaster. My husband is an electronics major he repairs all types of equipment, he went to school for Bio Medical Maintenance. He also invents and recreates all kinds of gadgets around the house. I figured with his repair expertise and my software configuration knowledge we could make a good team in our future aspirations. This year I plan to do more traveling. I have been in Germany for three years but have not done any extensive travel. I go to Holland about every other week, and in enjoy going to Luxembourg. My two sisters are coming to Germany in the summer to visit so my husband and I will save the best traveling for then. We plan to go to Paris, Amsterdam and England. |
